Price of a Haircut

Depends whether the price increases are fair and reasonable.
Anyway, nobody is forced to go anywhere.

Who was whinging about it?

Again people have this fear of the virus and what the “new normal”. If you want this it will cost you. Hard for business to justify low footfall and increase cost to be Covid ready. Baby will be out with the bathwater on government advice. Imho there shouldnt be extra arrangements to be made to be Covid compliant just a personal choice if you are not comfortable with public spaces dont go in. You dont have to get your haircut/coloured or whatever. Similarly enough no one will be forced to go for a pint when the pubs reopen. I feel for the business that are caught between the cost of reopening and loss of income by not pandering to the requirements

What about the workers in these businesses?

That’s a more difficult question and discussion between employers and employees. If someone has and underlying illness or care for someone that is at risk they should be allowed to take time off. Again should is a vague word considering there are some cunts out there

People are afraid to leave the house in Ireland, their confidence is gone, its awful to see

The only good thing about it is we might have no choice but to wear a mask getting the hair cut and won’t have to talk to the barber.

Precisely. There’s some dreadful whingers on here. Lads coming out from under the bed and expecting things to be handed to them.

The barbers should stay shut until end of July if they can and then they can reopen as normal. Same for all service industries. Force the government’s hand and end this madness.

If businesses don’t protect staff and customers it doesn’t just affect them we’ll all be feicin kilt.

Are they back open or is this a private sweep sweep haircut?

I am sure if a worker did not turn in for work due to a family member who is showing symptoms of covid they would be protected with workers rights.

In fact I would nearly be certain in the future there will be one case where a employee gets sacked for not turning in will take there employer to the wrc.

After all these are government guidelines that must be adhered to.

Afaik most if not all the cases brought to labour court over last 4 years have ruled in favour of employee. Those cases obviously weren’t resolved at wrc stage. It would be foolish for an employer to take action against an employee under the circumstances

This is getting out of hand. OIUTF
