Price of a Pint

It’s bad alright Dunph. Absolutely no character to the place and all about getting people in the door and serving them slop. They were happy to rip people off during the boom.

Mind you, I do go to the place for lunch on many occassions.

Diceys is a cunt of a spot.
We used to end up with a lot of work parties there.
The price of a pint used to go up hourly as well. Cunts.

Diceys is the worst cunt of a spot going. I’ve been there a few Tuesday nights for a few cheap pints but I came to the conclusion that cheap beer was no good if you couldn’t enjoy it. Only been back once in the last year and that was to meet a country type who had wandered in there.

That place will be fucking heaving Saturday night.

Yeah, I wouldn’t be arsed availing of Dicey’s cheap pint offer given the way they cram cunts in and serve you slop. An utter shithole. Although I did have a very funny night there years ago when the token hun from work, former forum member and now homeless person ironbar1690 tried to get off with a 60-year old and was involved in a scene after being refused entry into the over 35s nightclub downstairs called Bo Jangles for being 10 years underage.

I’d say Dublin in general will be heaving Saturday night. :pint: :pint: :pint:
You’d want to be heading into Coppers at half 6

Diceys pints are the worst in the country. Bar none.

Yes, but The Merchant will be truly heaving, and its a shithole to boot. The walls actually sweat in the place.

People drink pints in Diceys?

Drink bottles FFS.

A shitehole of a place but it always draws the “after work” crowd. Is the merchant the blue place down the quays? Always has trad music on?

€5.10 for a pint of lager in Stillorgan Park Hotel last night. Our round was 2 pints so €10.20 but we refused to pay the €0.20 every time and just handed over a tenner and walked off. :pint:

I made the pint mistake in there once, never again. A fucking disgrace.

O Shea’s Merchant, aye, just opposite Brazen Head and 4 Courts.

The Merchant would be seen as a Kerry pub would it?
Is there any other “Kerry” pubs in Dublin?

I know there’s places that are aligned with certain counties but that Merchant place seems like a kip to me. Now I’ve never been in it but it’s down by Heuston Station for fuck sake. Who wants to drink down there?

A know a Tipp lad and for the hurling weekend, he went into Flannerys at 8 or something, got a stamp, left and went up to Coppers and got a stamp, then headed up to Roddy Bolands and drank on there before returning back into Flannerys at half 12 and onto to Coppers at half one skipping the huge queues

I had a few in there the night before the famous Wexford Kilkenny 2004 game on the way back from some concert in the Phoenix Park. Seemed like a likable sort of shit hole.

There’s tonnes of spots, O’Shea’s would be a big spot. Not sure of the street, walk up the the spire and turn down to the right, is the general direction.
The Merchant will be jointed alright. I coulnt face Coppers two nights in a row! Is that other kip, howl at the moon still open?

A few of the lads went there on Friday night and said it was quiet and shite. Can be a hit and miss place.

Is Turks Head still open? I had a few cracking nights in there.

Don’t, just don’t

We did that last year too. This year we’ve things organised to the last. We’ve some hotel got not far from the place so we can head up around 8, get stamped, tog out, and get hammered.

I must add that I havnt a clue where it is or what it looks like because I was always scuttered going in there.

Where will most of the Duds end up in town?

Messrs for breakfast Sunday morning is another must do in our list.
