Protein Shakes

FFS…google it you \tard

TFK is my Google

Spot the tongue firmly in cheek farmer. I thought Puke would jump first on it, but he was a bit cuter in fairness.

For once I must go against croppy_boy here. Shakes are for fat chested, pigeon legged cunts . I can’t wait until all these fuckers drop dead at an early age from them.

 :guns: :pint:

The horsey set should try this.

RTT I expect more of you.

There really are some backward coonts here.

All pro athletes in progressive sports cultures such as America, Oz etc have been taking protein in the form of shakes for years.

I’d imagine most GAA players that want to get anywhere are at the same.

Ffs apparently gga players have been availing of such technologies for years.

Not according to the horsey set, pal. They just went out and lamped everyone and went for rakes of pints or returned to the bog afterwards.

This thread reminds me of the savage eye sketch where the Brits parachute televisions into Ireland.

Whey protein is just a cheap and efficient way to achieve the protein intake levels required to maintain and increase muscle mass. It’s not some sort of magic potion. There’s an element of bro science around it alright but there’s more than enough legitimate science as well. There are infinitely more retarded beliefs about diet foisted upon people through mainstream marketing, and it gets worse than that when you consider some of the more traditional Irish beliefs about healthy eating.

+1 WTB

Our knowledge of food and it’s effect on the body is deplorable in this country.

People’s attitude to cereals in particular crack me up. They are one of the worst things a person could eat but due to marketing and being raised on them I guess, people have this belief they are healthy, and in many cases this transcends to the cereal bars which are worse again.

are you for fucking real?

what a tard

the bars can be handy. they are not “good for you” or a good meal replacement, but perfect for that time between your last meal and a match. Nothing worse than playing hungry, and the oats and sugar in them give good slow release energy as well as keeping you reasonably full.

i think CM, WTB & KP have everything covered here.

Yes I am Kev

CM, fair enough if you are a professional sports person, for example a weight lifter or play NFL or indeed rugby etc. But why the fuck do simpleton Irish men use it? Some run of the mill working guy out for a run or does a gym session or whatever, then feels the need to come home and have a protein shake? Fuck right off.

Fuck you, you fucking ultra powerful fuckwit. Why the fuck can’t Irish men using whatever the fuck they want to improve their performance in their chosen sport or hobby? Maybe it does him good or it helps to lift better weights or run faster. Or be more powerful.

You can add this to the items on here you know fuck all about - sports betting (especially horse racing) and humility.
