Or instead of a donation, here’s a job announcement linked to the provision of broadband.
Would only work for a government minister though. Who’s the FG/Lab head up that side?
TDs won’t have anything to do with pal.
You’d be going to the crowds tendering and then to eir.

You’d be very surprised mate
Correct. I would be very surprised.
Anyhow anyone using hosted broadband?
This is a case for a cloud solution.
Alternatively ask @TreatyStones for a virtual server in his massive data facility in Limerick
I’m with Vodafone. My phone is always set to the automatic network time. Recently I noticed this was usually 2 mins slower than actual time.
This evening its even worse as its about 8-10 mins slow. This happen anyone else or anyone know what causes it? Plays havoc with morning alarms.
Don’t really know but is it happening when you’re on the network or wifi or both? If it’s only happening St home see if it changes when you disable wifi for a few minutes.
What is the web summit all about?

Happens on both WiFi and network. Have tried a few different variations and reboots and doesn’t work.
Is this since Winter Time kicked in?
Been happening sporadically for about the last 2-3 weeks so not just winter time

If you switch it to airplane mode and then back again after a few mins and the time updates correctly then that means there isn’t a problem with the signal/mast, that the problem is with your phone. Your carrier only updates the time to your phone maybe once a day.
So if this temp solution works then the only long-term solution is to change your phone.

Thanks. Will give that a try. Am using a temporary phone for the last week as mine is busted and the problem has been present on both phones

Do you leave your phone on top of one of these things? Like the zapper in Ocean’s Eleven.
USB 3 devices are causing a lot of interference problems as well. Do you leave it near a USB3 drive, on top of a wifi modem etc?

FFS Sake. You post up and people are helping and then 5 or 6 posts later you mention that it’s happened on more than 1 phone. You must drive IT helpdesks mad with how you disseminate information.

Maybe I do. And if I do, I don’t really care.

Hmmmmm. Are you comparing your phone to the house clock by any chance?
Hmmmmm. Are you comparing your phone to say the house clock by any chance?
I don’t have a house clock but thanks. I’m comparing it to normal time.
Call techies.
Is McAfee a load of shit? Seems to come installed on every laptop I’ve ever got and is annoying as hell so I usually remove it and install the free AVG version in it’s place. Uninstalling it now and it seems to be taking an internity.
