Racism Continued

Is that the lady that ordered wine but got served blackcurrant juice in the Galway Bay Hotel, and went on a Twitter rant?

“Yep! blackcurrant juice in a wine glass, same measure as wine. Racism or mistake?”

Laughing at someone elses point of view doesn’t make you clever

Ah ffs. That eejit. You literally couldn’t make it up. Grandfathers against racism… @anon67715551 is probably getting a grant for this

So you could join a hunger strike via empathy? Sure if that was the case you’d be picking cotton and singin’ spirituals. You mad eejit you.

There’s only so much one can realistically qualify for these days the way things are gone.

Guilty as charged

Her Rosa Parks moment was being inadvertently given the wrong drink in a hotel bar.

I feel that you’re being discriminated against. What you need is dr ebun to promote black folks against ageism

Swing low doesn’t count. Context etc.

On a hot summer night
Would you offer your heart
To the wolf
With the red roses

Would you offer her your mouth?

Sorry kid. You’re right. @Rocko, please ban @iron_mike. A monumental fuck up.

There was a documentary on about him this morning. Some start to his life. His father was an absolute cunt of a man

Nowhere to hide and no leaves on the trees
And my father’s eyes were blank as he hit me again and again and again

He challenged her point of view, so, as sure as night follows day, the shrieking started.

That person is the embodiment of the extremist left, some of which post here. Hysterical feelings based “arguments” which spiral completely out of control when challenged.

I’d agree that was a load of bollix as regards it being racism. At the same time it’s difficult to see things from someone like that’s perspective and being black in Ireland. There is no question she’s lived with a lot of overt and unspoken racism. Who’s to know what kind of seige mentality you’d have.

Park skin colour and use the tried and trusted reasonably-minded person approach. Regardless of her skin colour, she could have outlined her concerns and accepted the hotel’s apology, which included a bottle of wine on the house. Instead, she went on a 7-tweet rant, naming and shaming the hotel and accusing them of racism.

When she was confronted with a mistake by one of the hotel staff, she twisted it into something that was all about race. I still haven’t gotten my head around how she made the connection, but that type of rant is not something that will help to stamp out racism. It will just serve to make more and more people uncomfortable and on edge.
