A girl I know was in a bad accident yday. I’d know her family quite well and our kids are friendly. Is it appropriate to get a mass card in such a situation or is that the sole preserve of a death

It’s a job for the Mrs. really but I would stick with a ‘Get well soon’ or ‘Thinking of you’ type card depending on circumstances.

You can actually procure a “Get well Mass bouquet”.
It covers the lot - Mass said and speedy recovery.

On a lighter note an elderly rustic asked me once if there was such a thing as a “Sorry you crashed your car” card for a gent none of us liked who’d whacked the car off a gate pier with a few on board. It was allegedly hush-hush but my man was in the know and was feeling a bit smug.
His current vehicle is a 94 Lancer, I’d bet there’s less than 50% of the original on it.

Women love Orchids (a €30+ one) and with minimal effort they last for years. Sign of growth and patience and it willl be remembered too. Easily transferable if you’re giving it to her mum.
