Buy an LG TV.

That should do it

FFS thereā€™s no need for all the sensible adviceā€¦ Grrrrrrrr.

Get a shotgun and a gallon of petrol. Light a fire in or near the shed and shoot the fleeing rats.
Positive aggressive actions will discourage young hoods from robbing your new shedā€¦

Double Resultsā€¦

This may sound very unscientific @johnnysachs but buy a couple of rat traps, put maate in them, tie it on with thread and throw them out. Youā€™ll be ateing rat for breakfast the next day.

Vs one of the rats nipping one of the kids out in the garden some day

Lovely video itā€™s almost therapeutic

Something like this would be the job if you donā€™t want to worry about rat corpse smell

Iā€™ve killed two rats with a 5ft pencil stake in the milking parlour in the last 2 days.

No.

A good cat would do the job @Phil_Leotardo

Our fella killed a nice few in Limerick when there was construction nearby. He hasnā€™t found many rats up here but did kill a young rabbit last year, much to the life partnerā€™s horror

Poison the bastards. Even if they die under the shed once itā€™s outside the smell wouldnā€™t be bad. Leaving a few corpses around would serve as a warning to others as well.
Fill in whatever space they are living under then

The smell of a dead rat is absolutely putrid outside or not!

If you feel it could be an issue from a nearby site or house Iā€™d recommend a small dog or a cat.

We have no issues with rats?

A cat is great for them.

Isnā€™t there an old tale that you lock them into a barrel, starve them and let them fight to the death. The one released will kill every other little pest in the area?

Limerick hurlers or rats?
