I had one in the garden a few months ago, he was climbing on to the bird peanut feeder continuously, bait box had him gone in less than a week.

Half poisoned. The rats and mice don’t die straight away, they die over a period of a few days. In that time they are easily caught by owls who in turn are poisoned.
