Well spotted Julio

What kind of mate is it wrapped in?

That’s a beautiful looking rib eye, where did you buy it? I had one lately and it was unreal, very similar looking.

A safe guess would be Noelie’s.

I buy all my beef from Noel O’Connor up on William St (opposite Paddy Powers), best beef in Limerick all from his own herds of Angus and Hereford. The lads up there won’t see you wrong, I’m all for supporting butchers but I’m often let down when I buy beef elsewhere. Garrets for lamb, O’Connors for beef. That rib eye was a stunning piece of meat.

That’s a fine sized plate of food.

There was a layer of mash underneath the stew as the base. It was an absolutely unreal bowl of stew.

Lovely tradition, I try to do the same with Cape Clear but missed a few recently.

My Island, kid… did you visit my ancestral home, Teach Synge?

Do you know what, I suppose it is really. I never thought of it like that.

Ship wreck, light house and pub rest of day is all we did today. Where is that?

Only joking, kid… that’s next door on Inish Mean… Inish Oirr is lovely, the Sandies we call them and they call us the Rockies.

I’d ate that.
