I’d say there’s very little wasted in your house. Have you ever considered becoming a home economics teacher? Anyway, homemade lemon curd is a real treat. It’s lovely on buttermilk pancakes.

Just threw a stew together there in the slow cooker, before heading out for the night. Bought 3 pounds of bottom round roast and cut it up. Seared in olive oil/butter. Sauteed two onions, a leek, 4 cloves garlic, hydrated porcini mushrooms. 6 spuds and four carrots, cut in large chunks, parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme. The stock is the porcini liquid, better than bouillon beef stock, and a bottle of a local chocolate hazelnut porter.
Set to low for 6 hours, should be in great shape upon my return (the stew, not labane).
