Was a show on last night about the Fat Duck, Blumenthals place. He mentioned in passing that the restaraunt gets 30 to 35k calls a DAY on the booking line. I didnt believe it so did a quick google there and it appears to be true. Assume a lot are people redialling when dont get through but still…fuck me.

Cooked a nice chilli this evening. I like the fire a few carrots in when cooking a chilli. Is that a bit of a roaster and/or unsusual thing to do? They taste great in them anyway
