@Smark I’ve been thinking about this dinner for the last couple of days. It kind of makes me lonesome. My parents are gone now and my mother is gone for eight years and this dinner reminds me of coming home and what is lost. I used to love coming home for meals like this. It’s not the same any more. Cherish your folks for as long as you can.

Fair enough - how does this work, is the brown bin specifically for compostable items, do you throw all your green waste in there?

Spot on. Both my Mam and Dad were incredible cooks. Dad in particular was brilliant at big meals for family gatherings, no one did a roast better. Nothing ever replaces it.

It doesn’t need an adjudicator, but as a free and democratic forum, we should be encouraged to express our opinion and if it helps a few lads along with way, then that’s a bonus.

Yeah any food or organic waste goes into. You can get the compost able plastic bags for it too.

The phrase gets thrown around cheaply these days but this is a game changer

Wrong thread mate
Oh and get a job :grinning:

And put some walnuts in the banana bread next time.

You’re a fair man for one man.

Harissa is far superior to Sriracha imo.

Baking is great…

Wrong thread I said,
Nothing wrong with baking

Is there a separate baking thread?

That looks lovely, what’s in it?

S/R flour, marguerine, caster sugar, baking powder, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon and mashed ripe bananas.

GBBO is back tonight on Channel 4. My 5 year old wanted to bake something and she cracked the eggs and mashed the banana for me…

Slow roasted round with steamed potatoes, corn and mushrooms
