Ravenous

Take a step back pal. Invest in yourself.

Take an hour off your hectic schedule. Head to supermarket and buy a few days worth of decent lunches and dinners.

Sorted myself out for a kickass stirfry tonight. Onions, carrots, peppers, celery, mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes with lashings of ginger, garlic, lemongrass and chilli, flashfried on thai noodles. Fucking gorgeous.

I had a chocolate brownie with vanilla ice-cream yesterday, pal. We all have our moments of weakness - it’s how you respond that counts.

Out fucking standing advice…

I got that advice from the lapsed poster @ChocolateMice last year.

I’m sure he is out there somewhere, dropping a log, and reading this with pride.

:frowning: Now I feel even worse.

Fresh start tomorrow pal.

Cheers, pal. I’ll do as @Kinvara’s Passion says and go to the supermarket at the weekend and do up a big pot of vegetable soup and some healthy dinners for the week as next 3 weeks are going to be hectic too. Those pumpkin heads for Halloween won’t make themselves unfortunately.

Couldn’t be arsed cooking properly tonight so I threw some onions, tomatoes, olives, peppers, rocket and chorizo in with some leftover couscous. Fucking gorgeous.

I cooked up some very nice beef skewers, marinade the sirlion in a paste of corriander seeds, cumin seeds, black peppercorn, lime, Kecap Manis, Sugar, garlic and chillies, but I used some chillies I had growing and they were way hotter than I thought they’d be. Uncomfortably hot. I like my heat but ended having to eat a yogurt half way through.

Look at you with your Kecap Manis and your seeds. Oooohhhhh…

I’m so fuckin cool

@Mark Renton I weighed myself earlier and I’m 6lbs lighter than I was 6 weeks ago and, as already documented, my diet has gone to shit in the last 2 weeks. So, ipso facto, chips and carvery dinners cause weight loss

You fool. You either have Aids or incurable cancer.

Or worms.

A Supermacs meal you cunts … Eating it on the hard shoulder cause the fcuking chips kept falling on the floor.

Got bless Pat Mcdonagh

At a loose end today so about to get a stew going soon. I have some nice angus beef, parsnips, onion, garlic, fresh parsley, carrots, tinned tomatoes and tomato puree. And flour. And plenty of dried herbs and spices.

Any easy method? It’s years since I’ve done a decent stew and the only thing I remember is that Beamish is much nicer than Guinness if you want to make a nice Guinness Stew.

Get some chorizo.

I have a pack of sliced chorizo in the fridge too, pal. I was saving it for making this:
