Just stuck on an auld fillet of chicken, I’ll stick it in a wrap with some mayo and cheese, too lazy to leave the gaff today so must make do with what’s there

You posted a recipe for tomato soup on here once I think.
Any chance you would stick it up again. I’m hungover and want tomato soup later on.
Thanks

That was roasted tomato and basil bread soup i’d say, lot of work runty if your up for it?
I was in here to talk about, finally, finding buffalo sauce worthy of making chicken wings at home. “Franks wings sauce” is the quick and easy way to having the hottest wings you can have. I added some tabasco to get to that “suicidal” level as they call it at Soho. The best thing about wings at home though is its way cheaper and you get wings with a bit of meat on them in the shop. Had 3 large drumsticks and 3 large wings last night, savage stuff altogether.

Yes I’m up for it Kev. I like to while away a Saturday like that.
I’m also very interested in this sauce. Do you know if the main Supermarkets stock it? I’ve heard of it before.

Start by seeing if you have all this stuff or need to get it. This is massive hangover food by the way.
This is for 2 people, so just divide as you need.
10-12 ripe cherry tomatoes
1&1/2 cloves of garlic, finely sliced
a bunch of fresh basil, leaves picked, stalks finely chopped
Virgin Oil
sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 x 400g tins of good-quality plum tomatoes
1-2 large handfuls of stale good-quality bread, or maybe sour dough

You’ll have to go out and get the other stuff, waste of time otherwise. Heres the way to do it.
Put the cherry tomatoes and one sliced clove of garlic and a quarter of the basil leaves into the oven on a roasting tray.
Throw some olive oil over them, not too much.
Throw a little salt and pepper on it.
Put them in a roasting tray and cook in the oven at 180C for about 20 minutes.
While this is going on…
Throw a nice glug of oil into a pot, throw in the basil stalks and whatever is left of the garlic
Heat and stir for a min or two, then throw in the tinned tomatoes
Break the tomatoes up while in there,
Simmer for 15 mins
Then…
Tear the bread up and put in the soup, put in basil leaves
Turn down and let for 5-10 minutes, your oven roasts will be ready now
Put everything into the pot from the over now
Stir it for a short while
Add another bit of oil
Now its ready, and it will be one of the nicest soups youll ever have had.
Enjoy, think its an Oliver recipe from a show a few years ago he done in Itlay.
Cheers Kev. I know it won’t be the same thing but can I make it without the sour dough/bread?
Would you rather I took it to the lunch thread?
Just made that soup there (minus the bread). It was indeed delicious.
Fair play Kev.
the English market is an alright sort of place

Dunph your a likeable auld rouge and all but i don’t think there is anyway a man like yourself will ever listen to someone about food, that is if you actually eat what you say you eat.
Made a smashing homemade curry there, a hot vindaloo. Washed down with 2 pints of water. Rock n roll
