Superb player. His calmness under pressure stood out. Was ridiculously good in 2015 final. My favourite of the Kilkenny forwards. 8 all irelands as a starter puts him in rarefied company.

His legs were gone this year. I reckon this is one of the main reasons Kilkenny have gone backwards so much. He’ll be hard to replace.

Yeah he was absolutely brilliant. I don’t think his contribution to Kilkenny’s success is fully appreciated. Superb in the air, strong as a bull, and technically close to flawless. But his intelligence overshadowed all of that. A smart a forward as you’re ever likely to see. Some players con refs. Larkin conned a whole organisation into thinking the arm around the neck was a critical problem.

I thought he was a fantastic player too.

He was hard as nails too. He gave hits, took hits and never passed any remarks. Understated and underrated.

It’s hard to see you ever recovering from this one, mate.

Bit of an odd piece of TV3 there interviewing Eoin Larkin as he was pucking a ball up against what I presume was his back wall.

Picking a ball up again his back wall

Get it right

Lucky the wall didn’t fall over by the look of it.

Up agin his back wall

This is the correct nomenclature.

Unless you are from Appalachia, again is correct.

Broke Galway hearts time and time again. A nightmare of a player to nullify.

One of the greats alright.

You know nothing @Fagan_ODowd

Larkin is also the last of the 2008 final starting line up to go.
