Retiring GAA Stars tribute thread - May cause brain/neck damage

As so often pettiness has taken over and now lads are having a go at a very humble guy who played the game beautifully and without an ounce of cynicism to score a cheap point.

I hadn’t realised you were such a fan of PK but I’m with you, he was a joy to watch, some very uninformed comment here.

Those lads are All Ireland Senior medals.

I have All Ireland medals, both as a player and a coach.

You’re a crank trolling on an internet site.

Carry on.

100% pass completion???

You clearly don’t even know what a crank is.

I’m a pragmatist, I conduct my arguments on what is concrete.

You, on the other hand, run with any half baked notion that comes into your head and get all tangled up in your own web of bullshit - that’s a crank.

As you said - Cork were a team of Michael Darragh MacAuleys.

What All Ireland medals have you? Tell us - I’ve a Bob Radcliffe Cup medal.

Huge fan. Totally cooincidentally and non playing related i have spoke to him a few times recently. A gent doesn’t describe it.

But what a footballer. His ability to find space, pick a pass was as good as anyone. However he has that wonderful trick of getting out of the way at the right time too.

His performance against Tyrone in 09 was remarkable.

Another major thing, he made Kerrigan look really good. He is a phenom with fast half backs or forwards, he brings them into the game so well. Super economical as well, and not in the way of lacking bravery, he would go for anything if it was the best ball on.

The 3 scores he created off Tomas O’Se in this years County Semi were just the best example of his ability i had seen in a while. Not many cuter than Tomas, but he out foxed him 3 times.

You’re a dope

???

It’s a simple question that requires a simple answer.

Obviously one you are unable to provide.

Yes, no ball given away, do you understand the concept?
Kelly did it game after game, esoecially 09 & 10.

Kelly was basically a decent player on a par with someone like Ryan Mellon, he wouldn’t have made the Tyrone side during the 00s.

Your hyperbole of him is risible and I’m not going to stand here and let it pass without comment.

You’re easily risen.

What about the day Kelly tore Tyrone, the AI Champs at the time and raging favourites, apart in CP.

I mean he dismantled them like they weren’t even there. Tyrone players have spoken glowingly about that Cork team, that performance and Kelly himself.

Do you disagree with all them too?

I don’t even know who Ryan Mellon is so i cannot compare

Its amazing Cork beat Kerry, Tyrone and Dublin all those years with such shit teams.

Honest question.

Do you get an all Ireland medal as a coach/manager?

I think your recollection of Paddy Kelly in that game is a figment of your imagination and projected in the hope people don’t remember a game that happened 7 years ago.

Cork regularly shit themselves on the big today in Croke Park, a safe passage to the last 8 year on year and they managed to stumble over the line on one attempt against a Down side that came nowhere near close to an All Ireland final in the preceding and subequent years.

A team of 6ft+ flat track bullies.

Yip a coach. Part of a management team. S&C/Hurling.

Edit; Sorry misread. No. I got a watch, a lovely one that was robbed the same night. Name on it and all. Disgusted.

Cork have never beaten Kerry in a knockout match since the qualifier system came in. They beat Tyrone once in 2009 and Dublin once in 2010.

They are the only two wins Cork have in knockout games against sides who have won All Ireland’s post 2001. Not very impressive now, is it?

What hurling side?

A camogie one? :grinning:

Same day Alan O connor was put off? Kelly was unreal that day as was his club mate Miskella. Sent tyrone home with their tea in a mug

And went on to shit themselves in the final against Kerry.

Were tactically beaten by JOC.

That was the most galling of all loses. 2 best Cork and Kerry teams (at the same time) since the late 80’s.
