Retiring GAA Stars tribute thread - May cause brain/neck damage

I don’t know what has you so uptight?

I have dismissed Crappy’s claims as they have a dubious and irrelevant basis. You seem to have a problem with context.

Amazing such a province has so little titles. Incredible in fact.

I don’t really give a fuck chief tbh.
This argument about who was better is absolutely pointless. Games like football and hurling are completely different animals compared to what they were 10, 15, 20, 30 years ago.
Probably the best you can do is break it down by the decade and go from there.

But you never saw Linden play?

What a fucking bullshitter

We were fighting a war after the free state traitors sold us out.

You staters never liked a fair fight with the Fenian malcontents of the north.

All your medals were won by quisling.

Course I did.

You have to say that Munster is some province. More all Irelands then Connacht and Ulster put together. And with only four counties winning all Irelands they still have collectively more then Leinster.
It’s probably something similar with the hurling

Quislings will have plenty of idle time.

Great stuff from the master debater.

That is a good point. Football changed significantly in the early 90s as the free-kick and sideline rules made for a faster game. It changed again in the early to mid 2000s as Tyrone led the way to a team pressure game.

Game, set and match.

Exactly. Who is to say that if the likes of Mick O’Connell, Christy Ring, Mick Mackey etc. Had access to the same type of facilities training programmes, diets and all that stuff that they wouldn’t still be right up there. I mean what happens when a few of the Dublin lads retire? Will Connolly go down as the greatest? Who knows

You stated that criteria as a means to browbeat your points about Cooper.

I applied them to other inside forwards.

You keep forcing irrelevant analogies on us.

No I used statistics to prove my points - like the statistic that Cooper scored more from play that other inside forwards in All-Ireland finals against the same Tyrone defence over those years. I didn’t use an analogy once.

You however are claiming that Cooper ‘disappeared’, a speculative claim that you cannot back up. Previously you referred to the fact that he disappeared because he didn’t make a big score to turn the game and scored mostly from play. However when I pointed out that Canavan did exactly that in 1995 you said that he did not ‘disappeared’.

You’re all over the place buddy.

the minutes the points from play were scored will back it up

For Canavan in 1995? He only scored once from play pal.

I would agree with you fully on that. It’s the same in soccer and most other sports I’d imagine

no for the Kerry coward

Correct. Rugby, soccer, fuck probably athletics etc
