The worst ever footballer of the year has called it a day.

Some haul considering he couldn’t kick or solo the ball to save his life.

Respect.

The band is breaking up :sleepy:

Two lads who didnt start on a side who cruised to the easiest All Ireland of all the ones they’ve won in this period of dominance.

Ah yeah, they’re fucked alright.

Its the culture of humility. You wouldn’t understand.

That’s Berno, Dermo, Butsy, Andrews, McCaffrey and MDMA gone in a year and more to follow.

You reckon the lads replacing them arent humble?

You reckon Bernard Brogan is humble?

There are no more dressing rooms to sweep . Then we came to the end

Bernard is very humble and no I don’t think the young lads coming in are up to it.

Flynn another great man gone.

What flavour is it?

Dublin are absolutely fucked if the rest get their act together any bit.

Cluxton pushing 40, Mick Fitz and Cooper 32/33 this year. McCarthy/Rock north of 30.

Small/Fenton/Kilkenny/Mannion now late 20’s.

Philly, Kev McMenanmen and Cian O’Sullivan more or less done.

Slurp slurp.

Fall in behind the romantic underdog story of how the team who’d won only one All Ireland in 27 years picked up a few more.

Paul Galvin retired a long time ago.

Cooper is done already, can’t see him starting next year.

Small (28),Mannion, Fenton and Kilkenny (27) are in the primes of their career. Rock is a guy who is really only there for his free taking ability so age doesn’t really matter. McCarthy is the only key outfield starting player in his 30s in that Dublin team.

If you contrast that with Dublin’s closest rivals.

Kerry have the likes of Moran, Geaney, Crowley, O’Brien and a few others now the wrong side of this year.

Mayo have Keegan, McLoughlin, O’Shea and Doherty in their 30s now. They have lost two starters from the AI final last month already.

Donegal have McGee, McGrath and Murphy the wrong side of 30.

Tyrone have Harte, Donnelly, McNamee, McCann all the wrong side of 30 now.

So effectively Dublin are in no worse shape than last year, they won’t lose any starters or key players off last year’s team.

Has Dessie forgot McMenanamen is still on the panel?

It could be like the time Steve Coppell was walking around the Man City training grounds about a month into the job and stumbled across Eddie McGoldrick. Steve had no idea Eddie was at the Club.

Already up to his tits in the shambles that was Man City, this was the straw that broke the camels back for Steve and he was gone within days.

him?
