Retiring GAA Stars tribute thread - May cause brain/neck damage

Shocked at the announcement of his retirement and you’re 100% right on this. The Gallagher and Bonner tenures were dire and failed to get the most out of Murphy, McBrearty and McHugh.

There’s still a good squad of players so it’ll be interesting to see how they step up to fill this massive void.

The new management team doesn’t look any better, it looks worse. It looks like a club management ticket to be honest. If Donegal had got Malachy O’Rourke, Murphy surely wouldn’t be retiring.

His own worst enemy in that regard I always felt

Yeah I reckon so. Co Board is an absokute shambles.

Rory Kavanagh might have been enough for Murphy to continue.

Only three all stars. Northern bias is alive and well.

Hard give him an All Star over the last 5 years. But anyone who puts stock in All Stars is a simpleton given who picks them

The talented one. That framed photo is a beaut

And? Did you find many posts complimentary of the all star judges? Are you feeling ok?

That’s an evisceration of @myboyblue

The wagons are circling, the other lad can’t be far behind….

He’s been melting down since Garnacho netted the winner Sunday.

I have the united lads hopping in a pan it seems

Typical Kerry hoorism. He’s not wrong.

Beautiful scene

Kevin has gone on to win an IFC Club County, Provincial and All Ireland, and a Senior County this year.

He’s alright.

Some sub to bring on.

Best of luck to MM in retirement. Donegal probably didn’t get enough out of someone as talented as him.

An absolute gent by all accounts as well.
