Retiring GAA Stars tribute thread - May cause brain/neck damage
please take this conversation to a football thread.

Didn’t realise Tom Kenny never got an allstar. Deserved one alright. Might yet be the man to finish Shefflin’s career. Cleaned him out in Thurles this year
No honour in “cleaning out” what was a mere facsimile of a former great. Larry Holmes took no pleasure or honour in beating the shell that was Ali in Vegas

@myboyblue post a riposte to my comment rather than just disagreeing with it you fucking bastard.

Beckham did not go to Madrid or Milan to sell jerseys, I never saw him sell a shirt at either of these Clubs.

@farmerinthecity and @chewy louie 's attempt at a wind up has exhausted itself…

Now that is fucking dumb.

No you’re the dumb one mate if you think Beckham was merely a vehicle to sell shirts. He was an excellent professional who performed with distinction at 3 of the biggest Clubs in world football.

And Man United.

@Mark Renton I think i read a few weeks ago that you hurt your back, how is it now? I haven’t seen you make any further reference to it on the forum over the last couple of months

Ah yeah. He signed a deal worth $125m to go to America for his ability and not his brand. Get the fuck outta here.

@ClarkeyCat dared to propose this to @Rocko back around 2006. The German lover nearly hit him. Of course @Bandage backed Rocko up. I backed up Clarkey - not in a sexual way.

What has that got to do with anything? He went there to experience the lifestyle of living in the United States, and spreading the brand, however prior to that he had clearly proven himself to be an outstanding professional with an excelelnt work rate and attitude. Unlike that charlatan Scholes who turned his back on his country.

Typical Chewy tactic, make it personal when he is bet up a stick.

Who won?

I’m home on the 23rd til the 30th, pal. Where shall we meet up? It would be great to meet @Phil Leotardo and Spud again as well

@glasagusban is arranging the meet up this year… of course we will have to work around his monthly cycle.

At least I can cycle you fucking cripple.

That is a bit harsh. Chronic back injuries are not a laughing matter

Shit I didn’t realise he had a back injury. I feel awful. If only he had said something.

We did.

Bandage and Rocko had to ride your ma.
You haven’t seen many then have you?

Gerrard is probably the most over rated player of the lot. Lampard has a fantastic scoring record in fairness and is up there but as for dictating the flow of a game, he goes hiding way too often.
Gerrard was a big occasion player which in many ways is the defining characteristic of great players - Champions League final, FA Cup final. He showed up when it mattered. He probably was not a classic central midfield player - his 2009 season playing behind Torres was probably his best position.
