A nice thing to say but hardly true.

Indeed it is, ask Ray Silke, he won both in 98 but said the club all ireland ment more to him

I’d take something said by someone with a lisp with a pinch of salt.

One of those twee things intercounty players like to say to appease the unwashed.

I thought you’d like Silke bandage hes got a massive forehead like you

That’s a fair point but I found him to be a clown based on his radio punditry.

Ya, all the county stars say that when they win something with the club.
Right before they disappear off, not to be seen at the field again until the following August.

ray silke is a remowned simpleton

Bandage and I are the foremeost authority on radio punditry on this site
ill be getting my Sunday Sport thread going again on Sunday, i guarantee that Darren Frehill’s name will be added to the list of people who cannot be discussed thread by the national league semi finals.
its the small little nuances that the radio fan appreciates and can provide a chuckle, Jacqui Hurley’s complete inability to read out the scorelines correctly, instead beginning with the loosing team first and translating badly the score into total points leaving the listener confused, this usually calls for an intervention for Greg Allen who is out at Santry or maybe at Estoril for the Portugeese open reporting on the “best of the irish”.
The whole thing however pales into comparison with Paul Flynn’s buffoonery on Newstalk later in the Summer.
Silke is an annoying cunt tho, you can almost feel the spit on your earphones when the cunt is stuttering thru analysis

So true, so true.

Poor Greg “Minority Activity” Allen.

Damien McGrane and Shane Lowry were best of the Irish here in The Moroccan Open having both shot even par final rounds of 72 to finish on 2 under par. That was 11 shots behind the winner - Sweden’s Johan Edfors who sank 6 birdie putts in a faultless final round of 66 to finish 3 shots clear on 13 under par.

Back to you Jackie*.

  • to read out a score incorrectly.

Paul Galvin has retired. Whatever about the furore that people attached to him, he changed his game to become vital to a number of All Ireland wins and along with Dooher revolutionised the traditional role of a half forward.

Where he goes from here however, is anyones guess.

One of the all time greats:clap:

Big character, a terrific player and a loss to football. He certainly wasn’t a faceless automaton.

will his achievement in 2007 ever be done again? All Ireland senior football medal with Kerry, county senior football championship and county senior hurling championship all in the one year

Apparently Paul galvin has retired

Unless we can travel back in time I’d say no.

Why would he tell Setanta when it was Galvins news to tell.
