Someone once posted on the old Clarehurlers about the hairiness of his wife’s box.
Went to college with his brother, he was no daw.
Neither ray or Brian silke are simpletons
Shame to hear galvin has retired. A brilliant footballer and great guy. Best of luck to him.
Ray Silke comes across as a simpleton on radio.
Remember that Paul Galvin documentary RTE did a few years ago?
He was going on about how the media harangue him and how he ignores newspapers, doesn’t buy them and gets on with things.
Ad break then.
Comes back and he’s been out to the shop to buy the papers and is pouring over articles about himself.
All the best to Paul Galvin.
A great player.
And refreshingly different GAA personality.
Anytime I heard him speak he came across as smart guy and has insightful things to say.

Pouring what?
12 times a week now sometimes.
25 hours a day is it kev?
Galvin ruined a chance to be an all time great. I’d say his stupidity cost him and Kerry one All Ireland at least. He was a fantastic player. Brilliant vision, great work rate, tough, intelligent in use of ball and positioning and two footed.
But @farmerinthecity - he didn’t have much to say. I think he was regurgitating what he thought cool people were saying around the world. He was not unique. Maybe unusual in a GAA sense.
I’d say there’s plenty of Kilkenny lads who have that achievement already sorted but they don’t make a big deal of it.
Eddie Brennan even went as far as to play football for Kilkenny. I don’t recall Galvin ever knocking on John Meylers door at any stage?

Fairly sure Galvin hurled for Kerry and has an All Ireland medal of some sorts in hurling.
If all you’re going to present is facts then you can fuck right off…

Ah for the love of Jesus , can we not keep GAA matters to people who’ve got a semi rational view? Paul Galvin in a discussion as an all time great ? Seriously mods ? Ignorant beyond belief
I’ve obviously you rattled as well, following me around like mickee making retarded responses

Two different Eddie Brennans Mac, the fella who played football for Kilkenny was from Castlecomer
Paul Galvin has retired. Whatever about the furore that people attached to him, he changed his game to become vital to a number of All Ireland wins and along with Dooher revolutionised the traditional role of a half forward.
Where he goes from here however, is anyones guess.
Poor man’s Dooher.
