There was good spirit there but the truth is we reverted to type and became a typical old style British stick it in the mixer team. And that’s all we could do. There isn’t the quality in the squad to break down even 5th seed defences. Which sort of makes the whole Kenny idea seem a bit pointless, admirable in principle as it is. People talk about the North but they had/have a proper ball playing midfielder in Steve Davis and a good striker in Kyle Lafferty. We don’t have that.

That was quite a concerning coaching appointment in hindsight. An uninspiring assistant.
He’s an absolute failure with a haircut of an 8 year old traveller but they simply have to keep him.

Was there ever much of a clamour for Pat Fenlon to get the job? They have very similar credentials. Both managed in Scotland and reached a cup final there too but struggled in the league.
Daragh Moloney reckons qualification is probably gone now.

Almost identical. But Fenlon has more of a League of Ireland accent than Kenny.
