Djokovic cruising into the final here against Gulbis, about to take the second set.
Was hoping this match would go the distance so I could be home in time for the start of the Murray Nadal match.
Gulbis will be serving for the set here, Djokovic looks gassed at the minute - pretty strange.
Djokovic does this from time to time during matches. Still expect him to win.
Gulbis takes the third set, definitely upped his performance in that set but Djokovic just seemed to collapse midway through the third. They played a marathon game at 3-2 with Djokovic eventually holding his serve to win the game and bring it to 3-3 but then he just seemed dead on his feet in the aftermath. It is very hot out there but Djokovic seems unusually weary.
Yes, he does seem to have games where he goes through spells where he looks like he is done for, I’d expect him to come through as well. He will probably take the fourth quite comfortably.
Gulbis seems to be troubled by a back injury now.
Djokovic looks badly rattled but Gulbis is struggling right now. Djokovic broke but Gulbis has broken back and Novak smashes his racquet.
This is a fucking joke. Djokovic cant breath or whatever and now Gulbis back is fucked.
Yeah, doesn’t seem to be anything physical with Djokovic, he just seems to be flat or sick or something.
Seems to have come out of his slump a bit in the last game, 4-3 Djokovic in the fourth, Gulbis to serve.
Djokovic breaks and serves for the match. He has looked really off form today and will need a vast improvement for the final.
I seen Djokovic do this earlier this year cant remember if it was at Indian Wells or Miami but at one point in the match he seemed dizzy and couldnt even serve properly, think he hit a serve and nearly fell over at one stage.
Djokovic into the final, we’ve seen Djokovic have these mini collapses before but he didn’t really seem to make much of a recovery. Gulbis completely blew a great chance in the final set there when his first serve went to pot and a number of bizarre shot selections. He looked badly rattled and quite concerned during the third and fourth sets.
The Australian Open semi-final a few years ago with Murray before he beat Nadal in an epic final was another incident. He looked completely done for and Murray blew a great opportunity.
Murray getting hammered
Nadal looking in good form here but I don’t know how much you can read into it as Murray simply hasn’t turned up.
anyone ever been to this?
i was suprised by the empty seats all week and even today
i usually go to wimbledon on 3rd round saturday , q all day on the piss and its always a full house from there on in.
id imagine you could just walk in to rolland garros at your leisure and pick up a ticket even today…
Andy most probably saving himself for the real tennis season and the defence of his crown at the Queens Club with the Aegon Championship getting under way on Monday.
The games he’s got under his belt in Paris have served a purpose as he badly needed to get game time into his legs after such an injury disrupted year.
Nadal has scored some magnificent points here.
