Rory McIlroy

Golf is a game. So are you putting it as an equivalent to snakes and ladders or what?

It’s not a sport.

He has at least another decade though.

It’s a pastime for elderly wealthy white gentlemen.

So has Spieth who you bizarrely right off who has a far better recent pedigree at majors and is 4 years younger.

What’s with all the posts here? Has he finally won something?

Exceptions don’t make a rule. World rankings matter a great deal, as you don’t even get to play at all unless you are ranked high enough.

Write off. Spieth is done, the competition to Rory in the next decade is DJ, JT, BK and maybe one of the young guns like Morikawa or Schauffele, time will tell.

It’s not an exception, Darren Clarke, Bradley etc etc from recent years

Snakes and ladders is a game of pure chance mate, are you putting it up with Golf?

I never even said it was a sport, take a deep breath and try to answer the question

He’s had a baby, and he topped a ball into the lake yesterday like an amateur.

Was all well with the baby?

You’re writing off a 27 year old who has won three majors in the last 5 years but not writing off a 31 year old who has not won a major in the past 6 years.

The fact anyone can win a major undermines your argument of how important they are.

No mention to the contrary anyway, mother and child reported to be doing well

Great news… Congrats Rory.

But they are the most important tournaments in golf.

And McIlpube is a busted flush at them.

Spieth hasn’t won anything since 2017, because his swing which was flawed to begin with has fallen apart. The fact you can’t grasp this is the issue here, you have no understanding of golf. If you want to compare players to Rory, compare those that are actually competitive like DJ, Rahm, JT and BK.

I’m talking about the tournaments that matter. You’re talking about the ones nobody cares about.

Not if you consider the FedEx cup wins you more $ than all four majors combined. He’s won 4, and is 31. Excluding Tiger, only Michelsen of current golfers who is 50 has won more.

The FedEx is a glorified end of season exhibition created little over 10 years ago. It has no prestige or tradition. There are only 4 individual tournaments that matter in golf.
