RTE Correspondents

Ah Jesus, this chap has the lead story on the news tonight - the 16 migrant chaps found in a lorry trailer on a ferry bound for Rosslare - and he’s fucking brutal.

Ciaran Mulooley. When they see him coming it’s usually followed by savage job losses

Eileen Whelan finishes off the News…

That’s all the news, from Dave and ME, goodnight.

What a gaffe. Christ almighty, the national broadcaster. Grrrrrrrr.

Where is the error there?

Dave and I

Pretty sure “Dave and me” is correct.

Oh God! Say it ain’t so. Are people erroneously correcting grammar? As if anyone would say “it’s goodbye from I” FFS SAKE :rage: :rage: :rage:

That’s it. Take “Dave” out of the equation, he’s by the by.

Imagine she read the news and sport on her own and finished up by saying…

“That’s all the news from I…goodnight.”

Rebrands required for @anon67715551 and @Raylan.

Rebrand would seem extreme but I’ll abide by the moderator’s decision

:rage:…I’ll leave @Raylan continue the battle.

A new low for the forum

Dave and I is correct.

They wouldn’t, but they should say “xxxxx and I”, rather than “xxxxx and me”
Your analogy would be the equivalent of "me don’t like the Gerry Adams " or somesuch.

No they shouldn’t. The “from” makes it accusative.

No the “Gerry Adams” makes it accusative.
