Carthy gone? Mickey Harte et al will not be happy. Carthy was their blue eyed boy. Thought he was terrible myself, poor commentator and a poor interviewer.

Definitely a demotion though. Carthy was very unhappy at not taking pole commentator role when O’ Muircheartaigh retired. Tried to use his friends in GAA to put pressure on RTE. He has nowhere else to go though so he can like it or lump it.
