DF saw no sign of force. Complainant turned away but did not ask for help. Complainant “knew” Olding there to rape her. Never mentioned oral sex to medical people. Said Olding had vaginal sex with her. That charge was dropped. 2 explanations as to how gave oral sex to Olding. Only mentioned eye witness after end of interview. Police never probed inconsistencies.
Inconsistencies in all defendants story’s too. Who was where when, what happened, how upset she was.
This does not mean anybody is lying. Alcohol and lots going on mean recollections are hazy. If you and your other half are asked to describe last interaction or sexual encounter they will vary because of perception and how experienced, what was memorable to you.
I think eye witness is key and her evidence backs up complainant to large extent re positions, sex based on movement but raises question mark over no distress, not frozen in fear, turns away, doesn’t Ask for help and lads not startled in any way by being seen and indeed ask her to join in.
Harrison - not sure guilty as does he have to tell police what they want to hear and volunteer information not direclty asked for
McIIroy - no idea what is going on only that if somebody alleged rape then saying you got a blowjob too (if you didn’t) is kamikaze behaviour when if want to lie for a friend you say you saw her being enthusiastic etc

Young lads just over 21, sports stars, a lot of testosterone, fuelled with an excessive amount of alcohol causing admittedly confused states of drunkeness, all feeling like the happiest men after the fact.
Most rape victims are passive. The victim said she froze.
Paddy Jackson denies having sex, the witness said she was him having sex. That is not an inconsistency, it’s a massive contradiction in the version of events. What the witness portrays very much ties in with what the victim claimed and completely contradicts Jackson’s version of events.
Jackson is completely adamant he did not have sex with the victim but an independent sober witness “100%” saw him having sex with her.
One of them is definitely lying.

That thing that looks like a bag on the counter is actually a package of semtex left by Dara in order to blow up a rugby player.
She’s quite, ahem, up front about her activities.
One of the lines prosecuting QC Hedworth threw at McIlroy today was that the chaps decided to concoct a story, but that McIlroy mistakenly told the tale that Olding was supposed to tell, which is why he claims he received oral sex from the complainant when nobody else claims this.
McIlroy’s body language throughout the trial has been of a very worried man, more worried than any of the others.
Is it possible he actually told the “wrong” concocted story? It makes sense, you know.
The following night, the 28th, we know McIlroy was out on the town, and I think Jackson and Olding were too. Do we know if they met up that night? What about the 29th?
What about when Jackson and Olding were sitting in the cafe on the 30th and Les Kiss rang Jackson and Bryn Cunningham rang Olding, apparently almost simultaneously?
Were McIlroy and/or Harrison there at the time too?
What kind of personal contact would they have had after the meeting in Soul Food cafe on the 28th in order to concoct and co-ordinate stories?
One of the barristers defending the 4 has been subjected to death threats through twitter, Facebook and email.
