Where did you read that?

Guardian I think (more wokey nonsense). Itā€™s been speculated on for quite a while, the announcement was expected.

Now, Ukraine claims 34 officers were killed, including the fleet commander, admiral Viktor Sokolov with 105 injured, but it has provided no evidence to support its claim and the claims have not yet been independently be verified. The figures are also vastly different from what Russia has reported.

Russiaā€™s military announced the attack on the building and initially said one serviceman was killed but later said the person was not killed but missing. Moscow has provided no further updates, AP reports.

Ukraineā€™s military also offered more details about Fridayā€™s attack. It said the air force conducted 12 strikes on the Black Sea Fleet headquarters, targeting areas where personnel, military equipment and weapons were concentrated. It said that two anti-aircraft missile systems and four Russian artillery units were hit.

This is an interesting article. Have previously read that Ukraine couldnā€™t fully implement NATO training as they didnā€™t have the air and artillery support NATO would have integrated. On the other hand there was criticism Ukraine wasnā€™t making the most of its NATO trained troops by splitting them into small units and heading them with officers not also trained in NATO tactics. Suppose itā€™s to be expected and and training programs canā€™t be tailored to the situation overnight.

What a contemptible load of bile. NATO tactics are to bomb brown skinned civilians and infrastructure with vastly superior air power, cluster bimbs and depleted uranium.
Theyve spent the last ten years building up and training a 60k strong Ukrainian army to the point where they could supposedly take control of crimea and flatten wherever suits in eastern Ukraineā€¦ according to Angela Merkel
That army is now gone.

Polish official wants Canada to extradite Ukrainian veteran of Nazi unit

By Ellen Francis

September 27, 2023 at 10:21 a.m. EDT

A Polish government minister said this week he had ā€œtaken stepsā€ toward the possible extradition of Yaroslav Hunka, a 98-year-old Ukrainian veteran of a Waffen-SS unit who drew applause during the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Canadaā€™s Parliament.

Anthony Rota, the speaker of the House of Commons, invited Hunka, a constituent in his Ontario legislative district, to the joint session of Parliament last week. Rota called Hunka ā€œa Ukrainian heroā€ and ā€œa Canadian hero,ā€ prompting a standing ovation from the crowd and a raised fist from Zelensky.

But Jewish groups later said Hunka had served with the 14th Waffen Grenadier Division, a unit of the Waffen-SS made up of ethnic Ukrainians. The Waffen-SS was a Nazi paramilitary force formed by key Holocaust organizer Heinrich Himmler.

Extraordinary meeting of European Foreign Ministers in Kiev?

Wtf?

A paywall would be a good indicatorā€¦

The article I read on the RTE website even said they were in the Intercontinental Hotel.

Would be exciting if a few missiles were launched into the general area
