Russia Vs Ukraine (Part 2) - Neocons Strike Back

so no counter to it and the articles veracity is confirmed. Grand. The rest is just your usual bluster and ignorance.

Go back to sleep

You’ve been shrieking like a baby for the last two months about people supposedly “insulting” you, all the while you constantly throw out personal abuse and name calling against anybody who crosses your path.

All while you equivocate and make excuses for those committing a fascist imperial genocide.

You’re a beaten docket.

I see on Twitter it has been “confirmed” that the moon landings were fake.

Any disagreement is bluster and ignorance.

That’s confirmed.

My take on the limited enough reports supporting various arguments is this,

  • Russia have been meddling in Ukraine for decades

  • when Russia power was challenged by revolutionary types Putin began funding his own proxy war in Eastern Ukraine.

  • the West do want a piece of the Pie

  • the West are pushing Ukraine to fight off Putin

You can definitely draw blame on Western forces possibly upsetting Putin but it appears Putin has his fingerprints all over the Civil War in Eastern Ukraine.
The “ Ethnic Russian “ defence of it is highly debatable depending on which side of the coin toss someone sides with imo.

There’s no defense of the invasion. None

But the events leading to it are a bit of all of the above… You cant absolve the west of interfering and escalating events. While the invasion is all Putin, it is a us proxy war. Neocons like @Tim_Riggins just want to hide this last point.

It’s a well written opinion piece and doesn’t differ too far from my own opinion, which i’ve outlined a few times.

the incumbent was put under pressure from the East to renege on a pro European deal, with a large financial incentive from Putin. He reneged. Kyiv exploded and he was ousted. Putin put guns in separatists arms and the separatists took Donetsk and Luthansk, Putin annexed Crimea because it was already autonmous. All wrong and all denied by Putin at the time, which is why Minsk largely failed, although there was blame on both sides for it failing.
Dr. Mykhnenko doesn’t give his opinion on the Wests involvement in the leadup to and aftermath of Maidan, which is what is under discussion. It actually happened, as outlined here.

I’m certainly not and have never tried to say Putin was in any way justified for his actions, by annexing Crimea, arming separatists or invading the Ukraine. I’m also saying the US should have kept their fucking noses out of the area

The simple facts are that Ukrainians wanted to be allied with the EU and NATO and were sick of having of a murderous Russian puppet in charge.

Ukrainian public opinion is now firmly in favour of being a member of both.

Certain posters here believe the Ukrainian people “have no right to do wrong” as they see it.

The annexations and war in 2014 was entirely a Russian government operation, ie. Putin’s idea.

The US doesn’t have to push Ukraine to do anything. You don’t have to push the people of a country into resisting a fascist imperial invasion.

It would be like saying that the French pushed the Irish into the War of Independence.

It pushed them to force sale of agri land despite the majority of Ukrainians opposing it.

It pushed them to up the cost of energy to homes by 50%

It pushed them to slash social security spending.

It pushed them to sell off SOEs.

It has forced Ukraine to do a lot while saddling the country with huge debt…

and you provided accurate, reputable sources that had all that information, no discourse, no conversation, just ad hominem attacks on you and a lot of buried heads

Like what happened in Ireland?

I did my best to find left leaning analysts who confirmed these points to make it easier for them to digest, but alas, i should really know better.

What happened to Ireland?

Austerity and all that craic, lots of troika imposed conditions and all that.

None of what you’re blathering on about is remotely relevant.

You believe the entire Ukrainian nation is a US puppet, that it has no agency, that it doesn’t want its own independence.

I mean you couldn’t be more racist if you tried.

Do you think Ireland and Ukraine are comparable?

No, that’s you putting words in ny mouth to create another bogey man.

Nothing you’ve posted in this thread has any relevance at all.

A strawman bogeyman.

Yes, that’s the question I asked you.
