Big Sam saved Limerick soccer, I remember when he was the manager back in the early 1990’s, he’d be on Clare fm every Saturday afternoon giving an update, it was a little tradition of mine to tune in

All they have proven is Big Sam is a great guy. They bring him out for a few drinks and he is great company, convivial, open, insightful about football and football people.
