@HangBlaa was in my class in school (De La Salle, Waterford). I wouldn’t be surprised if there were 1 or 2 more who went to school there

@EmilioButragueno did you go to the vocational school like me?

The town or the building?

Good pal of mine - bit younger than me - had a heart attack last week. Was training in gym. Didn’t feel well. Called ambulance which probably saved his life.

He’s doing ok. Will need a bit of rewiring done.

RTE1 have a programme called “How long will you live” with a Dr. Phil Kieran in charge.
He snared a fine looking lassie from Waterford aged 40 - fit looking girl in fairness and after a series of tests proclaimed he life expectancy to be 76.

Whatever about her I all but fainted. He then produced a raft of stuff - exercise, diet and God knows what to help her exceed this paltry target. I took a brief survey of my lifestyle versus his proposals and opted to plough ahead with my current (violently heathen) formula.

Programmes like this should be scrapped forthwith, I nearly dropped dead.

I think that marriage is like the Middle East - there’s no solution

As I get older, that takes on much greater meaning.

:open_mouth:

Pauline Collins was 49 at the time which is probably more relevant

Were you listening to that Cork actress one Norma? on Tubridy? Brendan Courtney kept gushing about how humble she was. She wasn’t even a small bit humble.

What drove you to listen to Courtney impersonating tubridy?

Marty was playing Elton John.
