Should Gerry Adams stay on as Leader of Sinn Fein?
The only person engaging in whataboutery is you by referring to David Quinn.

The facts of the case have been explained ad nauseum on the thread and they don’t make pretty reading for the anti-Sinn Fein fanatics.

Adams has been consistent and up front. Cahill and the people that are (badly) advising her haven’t and have tied themselves in knots.
No, comparing you to David Quinn isn’t whataboutery- it a comparison. Whataboutery is Padraig maclochlainn on RTE 1 on Friday responding to questions about it by bizarrely querying the right of journalists to investigate the issue by bringing up an indo journalists job loss. It’s SF supporters complaining about Kenny meeting Cahill over other rape victims as if that somehow lessens the need for them to clarify the sequence of events.

You repeating yourself isn’t explaining anything in relation to these matters, no matter how nauseating a style you post in.

Sport to watch now - please continue your media monitoring & rebuttal service in my absence using whichever username/persona you choose appropriate.

Yeah, it’s a shit comparison. Padraig MacLochlainn didn’t question Martina Devlin’s or the Indo’s right to investigate anything. I don’t question Fox News’s right to investigate anything - but in a serious news investigation it’s important to know what and where your sources are coming from. The facts don’t change - unlike the made up rubbish that’s aimed at Gerry Adams. That changes every day. You can do that when you make stuff up.

Caught a bit of Belfast solicitor Peter Madden on Morning Ireland. He was saying that he a copy of a letter than Maria Cahill wrote to the IRA Army Council insisting that they investigate her rape claims.

yep, he was brilliant, she wrote to the IRA saying they had to investigate

whats the original complaint from her?

The presenter was rattled when he started reading extracts from it.

Sinn Fein must be fairly confident in their position the way they are allowing this story to rumble on.
Kenny will come off the worse from this yet.

yep, all he could say he wasnt aware of it’s existence and the lad kept saying its a matter for public record as its in the courts document

id say it was a clamping

Gemma O’Doherty (who was shafted by the Irish Independent that time for reporting on Martin Callinan’s quashed penalty points) is on the case on twitter. I’m placing my faith in Gemma to get to the bottom of this.

Kenny is badly out of his depth here.

can the west brits on this forum apologise on this thread for getting it so so wrong?

I heard that geek Simon Harris repeatedly using the term “Sinn Féin/IRA” in a radio interview the other day. Is that what Fine Gael are reduced to? It’s pathetically reminiscent of the little barbs DUP used to go on with 15 years ago before they got on with power sharing.

It’s been a horrible 48 hours for them.

It’s been a horrible 900 years.

Time for gerry to go

Gerry is going no where, pal.

yea he go sin fin can be a real party or fuck him back to the north

The North?

Yea a place he bombed

It seems two more victims of the IRA paedophile/rapist have emerged. Both under 16 when attacks took place apparently. Not sure where that leaves everything. DPP in the north seem to have made a complete bollix of it in any event.

Write “Gerry Adams is an electoral liability” 100 times on a sheet of paper (preferably Eilis O’Hanlon’s column from last week’s Sunday Independent) and then shove it up your arse.

SF up but G Adams down. Still think SF would be doing better without him.

But continue your cultish worship as you wish …
