The cover up of child sexual abuse was rife in Dev’s day, I assume it’s fair to say that Jarry took that bit from that era anyway.

Dev had all the authority and resources to do something and turned a blind eye to it.
Then again, the most disgusting incident in Irish politics that I have heard about probably lies with FG’s Michael Noonan and the Grace case.

Jarry knew about his brother in 1987 but these kangaroo courts did nothing. Again, it seems he took that bit from Dev.

I’m just commenting that the “not very much” that Jarry says he took from Dev’s Ireland must have been the cover up of child sexual abuse. You have acknowledged that with your statement on the Provisional IRA holding kangaroo courts but doing nothing in the case of Jarry’s brother.
We are talking about DeValera’s Ireland and what Jarry Adams took from it.
