Should Gerry Adams stay on as Leader of Sinn Fein?

Iā€™m just commenting that you came on here to cry faux outrage and use child abuse as that vehicle. I think using child abuse to score political points is pretty low when you are as insincere as you are.

Nothing to say about Noonan still I see. Partitionist paedo protectors are salt of the earth to you is it? Iā€™m merely asking for some sort of consistency and sincerity here.

I didnā€™t cry faux outrage. I just made an observation on what Jarry Adams must have taken from DeValeraā€™s Ireland.

Noonan was cleared of wrongdoing.

Where do you stand on Jarry knowing his brother was raping children and doing nothing.

So to clarify you wonā€™t comment on Michael Noonan? You donā€™t want to spread your outrage to FG paedo enablers?

Oh Iā€™m sorry, was Adams convicted of wrongdoing here?

Do you only support paedo protectors if they are aligned to FG?

We are talking about Jarry Adams and what he took from DeValeraā€™s Ireland. :man_shrugging:t2:

Yet your outrage doesnā€™t extend to a FG minister abusing the office of his power to keep a disabled girl in the care of a paedophile whom he abused?

I find that standpoint very sinister, using child abuse as a political football is nasty and I have to draw attention to how insincere you are. You want to spuriously link Adams to his outlook of DeValeraā€™s Ireland to child abuse but donā€™t want to comment on a FG minister for children using his office to protect and facilitate a paedophile?

This thread is about Jarry Adams. You posted a tweet where he said that he took little from DeValeraā€™s Ireland. I observed that must have been covering up child sexual abuse. You acknowledged that yourself by talking about how the PIRA ā€œsorted outā€ incidents in the past whilst they did nothing to Jarry Adams brother despite him knowing about sexual abuse in 1987.

Iā€™m just pointing out that you only use child abuse as a political football which is cynical and callous. Nothing to say about FG enabling child abusers sadly.

The point being missed on here and in the Twitter replies is the very little is a reference to Irish people in the six counties being forgotten by Uber republican Dev.

Both politicians are retired.

I am sticking to the topic at hand. Jarry Adams took lessons of covering up child sexual abuse from DeValeraā€™s Ireland.

Not really, you are shoe horning spurious links to child abuse in.

When it comes to FG, you have nothing to say about the even worse skeletons in their wardrobe (abuse of political office to facilitate paedos).

The cover up of child sexual abuse was a hallmark of Devā€™s Ireland.

Jarry Adams had knowledge of his brothers sexual abuse in 1987 and was still trying to cover it up in the 2000s.

You commented that the PIRA sorted out issues like that and this meant they were better than the Irish state, but nothing was done about Jarry Adamā€™s brother.

In March 1987, Aine, Sally and Gerry Adams went to Buncrana, Co Donegal, to confront his brother over what he had had done, but Liam denied raping Aine.

The former West Belfast MP has said he believed his niece but that he didnā€™t report the abuse to police himself as Aine had already done so.

That must be what he took from Devā€™s Ireland.

A spurious link that you conjured of your own accord.

If you have such outrage at child abuse, itā€™s odd you bury your head in the sand at far worse goings on with FG.

I think itā€™s apt to call you out for using child abuse victims as a political football. Very sinister behaviour.

No itā€™s factual and acknowledged by Jarry himself.

You previously blamed the police but you made this statement here;

There was no clipping of Jarry Adams brother.

This is what he took from DeValeraā€™s Ireland.

Why are you continuing to use child abuse victims as political footballs and spreading lies on top of it?

Iā€™m just calling out your hypocrisy. Like Tim you are quite happy to ignore child abuse when the spotlight is on parties close to you.

Pretending to not to know about a govt minister on your doorstep of a political party you support was quite an incredible disclosure.

I think you and Tim have morals of sewer rats when you try and use the suffering and trauma of child abuse victim to score points without any empathy for victims.

We are talking about a retired murderer/politician here. Whatā€™s political about it? Itā€™s a statement of fact- he learned child sexual abuse cover up from Devā€™s Ireland.

You created the child abuse angle of your own accord. You introduced it into here clunkily and deliberately and refuse to address far more serious accusations of a party you support.

Using child abuse victims as a political football is as low as it gets.

I think itā€™s not missed but guilty consciences from the likes of @Tim_Riggins and @the_man_himself on establishment Ireland means they will always try and deflect away from the matter.

They are quite happy to use the suffering and trauma of child abuse victims in some insincere manner to deflect away from Establishment Ireland its failings.
