Sinn Fein - Populism and Partionism

How so? It’s fairly crude but hard enough to dodge I would have thought?

It is yet a host of left-wing parties oppose LPT using an irrelevant “little old lady in a big house” sob-story

Is it not self assessed. Eg you declare the value of your property yourself. It’s also not scaled for the type of property you own.

LPT is likely to be a lot more burdensome on a low income family in a 3 bed semi detached than on someone with a big mansion in the country.

Yeah but revenue can adjust it if/when you sell you’re property.

You’re correct in terms of the urban v rural impact. At least now the revenue raised will be staying local

You’re clearly not very left wing

Why?

Nobody is left wing really . We all think there is someone else who should pay more ( bar Paddy Cosgrave )

Most people trust themselves to spend their money and get value more than they trust some mandarin.

So they’re more right wing and pro-property interests than the current property tax regime. Thanks.

Let me know the next time you claim Sinn Fein are a left wing party.

They aren’t.

You’re a toxic wee fuck

Tax second properties and increase tax on commercial properties.

No tax on family homes.

Fianna Fail caused a financial crash in which the state is in debt of 200 billion euro, Fine Gael are building a children’s hospital in a ridiculously badly situated site with current overruns of 1 bn plus, on track to be the world’s most expensive ever building… but look over there, some Sinn Fein possible members (doubt they had Mary Lou and Eoin Broin on the job)were involved in the Northern Bank robbery of 26 million stg…

Look over there, it’s FFG

Well argued

You’ve just repeated your last post.

Which of those are crimes?

@Cheasty

what’s your political party of choice?

Whoever Fulvio is against.

I voted Green last time. In my voting career I’ve floated around different left(ish) parties, or at least those who claim to be left(ish). Done with SF now though.

are you done with SF because they’re popular now? The ideology hasn’t changed much, nor the history
