Six Nations 2010

Splendidly argued there old chap but MBB is unlikely to relent on this as it involves Paul O’Connell. Brace yourself for a response referencing your own sporting exploits or otherwise as that’s the dubious tangent being pursued when inability to perform basic second row functions is questioned.

To be fair to O Connell, he’s some man for one man. Some crack on the Late Late the other night too. Anyone hear Donncha on Ruggamatrix? Came across very well, apart from the overuse of “dead right Bronk”.

Your right WBY, in that instance, he is certainly the best man for the job. But that isn’t much use if we’re 8 points behind cos someone ran over the scrum half or they couldn’t get the ball out of the ruck.

The thing about it is this, and i’ll admit this was pointed out to me by someone else. TOL is a slower passer(once ball is in hand) than Reddan or Stringer, we all agree on that. But what he is faster on is actually get the ball back out of the ruck, due in the main to his quickness and his strength at ruck time. Thus he has the backline moving just as fast as the others would, or faster in alot of cases.

O’ Gara has often said, that while stringers passes were fast in delivery, they could land anywhere. That improved over time, but i have been convinced of TOL’s better overall package.

his nuts and bolts job within the team was to convert scoring chances provided to him, the same as OGara if faced with a drop goal.
if Leahy was a corner back you could forgive him i suppose but im afraid on that fateful day Leahy failed in his primary role and handed the AI to Clare.

Not sure what you’re talking about there Bandage old chap, Tipper wasn’t replying to a post from me?

Luke Fitz did a half time interview for the beeb during the italy match, in about 90 seconds he managed to get in “the Goys” seven times, enlightening viewing.

I’d actually disagree 100% with nearly all of that.
I can’t remember Stringer ever being run over, in fact his defence was/is top class, not a liability at all when compared to the likes of Humps Sr and Jr or ROG
It’s TOLS’s major failing that He doesn’t dig the ball out quick enough or clear it quick enough from the ruck. He also doesn’t take decisions quickly enough. He’s some man for the game plan though as he persists with turning ok ball into slow ball in order to allow the forwards form a pod and set again whereupon he performs the same trick again.
Anyway there’s no way of us sorting this out, suffice to say we’re on different sides of the fence

Ferris starts, McLaughlin and Trimble drop off the 22.

Great news about Ferris. Revised team and bench below.

20 - Eoin Reddan (Lansdowne/Leinster)
21 - Jonathan Sexton (St. Mary’s College/Leinster)
22 - Paddy Wallace (Ballymena/Ulster)

Looks fine other then Trimble below Wallace, which seems a little odd with Sexton there as well.

Such a post clearly displays that this is a lad who has played team sport at the very highest level and is an authority on all rugby matters.

Thats more like it farmer, attack the poster not the post. You’re getting the hang of it.

Strange alright, especially if Bowe or Earls pick up a knock…D’arcy would probably have to move to the wing…With Trimble on the bench, Bowe or Earls could easily move to Centre or Full Back if needed

No back 3 sub
Presume D’arcy would be moved to the wing being replaced by Wallace if there is an injury

He’s from Laois so I think it’s pretty obvious that he hasn’t played sport at any type of decent level.

I guess all of Earls - Bowe - Bowe - D’Arcy are all very comfortable in other positions, but I would prefer to have aspecialise back three player on the bench. Geordie used to give great cover to be fair to him.

 , talks a good job though.

I guess nothing would compare to the mother kissing Leinster Schools Cup alright Sid.

No Bob crusade this week?

I guess we can’t all be PC types, talk shite about Tipp without ever picking up a hurley…

Ah lovely, 3 of them on the go…Tipp Leitrim and some other fella. http://cur.cursors-4u.net/smilies/images1/smi26.gif

Real men are not afraid to show affection for their mother.

I would call it more of an injustice awareness campaign.

I was always lead to believe that a capt in the SC was picked by hotness of the mother, fair enough I suppose.
