Niamh Cullenâs husband died today. Donât know her but the missus says sheâs massive in the influencer world. Got sick on day 3 of their honeymoon last year. Scary stuff.
Sligo too is absolutely lovely.
I know, apologies. Just recall talking to a few sound lads from around your way about hurling that day and thoight off chance⌠you know yourself.
Thatâs very sad. Do these people actually make a living? Iâve never heard of either of them tbh.
Most people from Tipp are sound ![]()
Very sad. Wouldnât know much about these influencer types but I do recall two others who appeared on the Late Late after their young husbands passed away.
One was living in Offaly and had 4 young children while the others husband died within 24 hours of them landing in Dubai.
It depends what you like in your scenery. Ireland has a lovely mix of rich, lush countryside and bleakness and desolation.
In the a general sense the dividing line between that rich, lush countryside and the bleakness and desolation is the Shannon, but mountain ranges east and south of the Shannon are an exception to this.
All the counties you reference have a coastline. Tippâs big weakness is it doesnât have a coastline. Of the inland counties Tipp is probably the most beautiful. Itâs the biggest inland county and has the most varied landscape. Though Iâm also partial to what deep Ulster offers, Quinn country if you like, from the drumlins of Monaghan across to the lakes of Fermanagh.
The big thing Galway and Mayo have going for them is their coastlines. But outside of that they have some very bleak countryside and not in a good sense.
The rail journey between Dublin and Wexford is a pure delight. So is the rail journey and the old, non-motorway road journey between Dublin and Waterford.
Dublin to Cork is not bad. Dublin to Belfast has some lovely stretches.
Dublin to Galway is dreadul. The road and rail journey between Athlone and Galway is the worst in the country in terms of surrounds. Christ itâs bleak and dull and depressing. Dublin to Athlone is a bit better but not much.
I think Waterford is tremenjusly under rated county. Itâs beautiful. It has gorgeous coastlines and gorgeous countryside and sweeping rivers and mountain views.
I think Ireland is the most beautiful country on earth.
Id say someone with 100k followers make a very very good living
Itâs up there. South Africa for me, then Italy and Scotland and Corsica , the US and Canada (parts of) of the few places Iâve been. I havenât been to much of South America.
Iâve only been to Ireland, England, Brussels and the Ruhr part of Germany.
I was a big cheese in the food influencing game a few years back, youâd earn a nice living out of it, now every tom, dick and harry is at it
The US is number one for me.
California and that Utah-Colorado-Arizona triangle are stunning.
Richie?
In ireland? Paid promos is it? Hardly getting paid directly from socials for views?
I couldnât think of anything worse⌠but it encapsulates modern society where everything is performative now.
Once you get over a 15k/25k mark youâre sorted from brands. Now - A LOT of what you get if not the majority, are non-cash benefits at that level. But when you reach 50k+ youâre being paid to display brands and make appearances etc.
Young people pay scandalous money for influencer things
Why bring Kilmallock in to a conversation about Tipp town? Like a lot of towns in the region it certainly has itâs problems but I wouldnât agree that itâs in crisis
I explained already,
The two towns are quite close geographically and for me one always brings the other to mind.
Tipp town gets an âawful doingâ here, Iâd be much happier to stop the car there

Iâd imagine a lot of the preparation for an âinfluencerâ wedding involves contacting possible brands/suppliers and getting a discount in exchange for a bit of promotion in the weeks following. Whoring yourself basically
