Spanish Football 2009/2010

Thiago gets his first senior goal for Barcelona…4-0 now

Jesus Navas is in a rich, rich vein of form. Could be a good option for Spain in the summer if he can get over this Marcus Trescothick type illness.

Just on the Barca game earlier, Andres Iniesta is a joy to watch.

Navas is a classy winger alright, Spain seem to have an embarrassment of riches across the midfield…

To use one of the auld lads favourite terms Iniesta “lorded it” in midfield today…best midfielder in the world for me…

If Barca went out and splashed the cash on a good goalkeeper it would make them much stronger defensively IMO, the players never seem too confident in front of Valdes, don’t get me wrong he is a great shot stopper but his handling can be very poor on occasions.

Real V Villareal about to kick off…Hope to fuck Villareal can put it up to them and take a point

who was the minutes silence for?

I don’t know but nice touch the way they shutted John Barnes up for it

how that man is allowed broadcast hes terrible. dutdutuddutdutudtud…tats all he says

some strike, good fook

game over 2-0

Blow it up to fuck ref, Madrid could well put 4 or 5 past them now

serious free kick from ronaldo.

That boy Ronaldo is magnificent - what a goal.

He has really up himself since shaking off the shackles of the very restrictive EPL.

Senna scores some amount of freekicks too - another cracker there.

That was a belter of a freekick from Ronaldo. Very tough on a keeper from there, you’d be expecting it to move the other way, no matter how many times you’ve seen him hit it that way.

jesus spanish soccer is so much better than the premierhype

Higuain is having a fantastic season without attracting much of the spotlight. He’s become one of the top three or four centre forwards in the world now IMO.

Higuain’s goal from the Ronaldo and Arbeloa passes was superb. Two cracking inch-perfect passes but there was still a bit of finishing to do but he did that emphatically.

Fuck sake. Stonewall penalty denied for Atletico and Valencia counter from the very same incident and go one up through David Silva.

That’s 4 of the teams I was supporting this weekend all victimised by biased officiating:

England (rugby football)
Celtic, Roma, Atletico Madrid (proper football)
