We are absolutely inundated with the bastards at the moment. Iā€™m getting bitten dozens of times a day and constantly applying Aerogard.
I hate the fuckers. They have absolutely no purpose in life other than to cause pain and annoyance to man and animal alike.
I just hope I donā€™t end up with Dengue fever or some such from them.

Right enough. I genuinely feel your pain- i was once about to really get down to exchanging pleasantries with a young lady when she suffered a similar occurrence. Spoiled the mood entirely. So i suppose Iā€™ve suffered too, god knows how Iā€™ve suffered.
Thatā€™s a queen waspā€¦all the others die off, and she seeks a cosy spot to overwinter

I used the gloves a couple of weeks ago, then washed them and hung them outside on the line. Finally dried some day last week and brought them back inside. I guess she entered on the line.

Too late for you now, but cutting an onion in half and putting it on the area stung induces relief and reduces swelling.

I had a quick google and found out that wasp stings are alkaline so vinegar helps neutralise them whereas bee stings are acidic so rub something alkaline helps.

Itā€™s still throbbing but I think the vinegar helped a bit.

The thumb is still very sore after two days.

Iā€™d try the obvious remedy but it seems very sensitive to hot and cold.

Ants in the house here in Dunmore. In March. Went into Homebase to get some poison and the lady at the checkout said there are ants everywhere this year. In March. This stuff is flying off the shelves.
