Anyone ever organise or go on a stag that incorporate a trip to a football match in one of europes finest stadia? Was half thinking of Dortmund or somewhere in Germany. Most of us have been to barca so would prefer not there.
Any tips or advice welcome.
fucking hell, I mean Christ almighty, will you be inviting Ken Earley and “Miguel” Delaney as well?
Stag destination, a fucking football match? Is your missus a poster here @Tabby ?
Ask @mickee321 for some brothel advice & man the fuck up.
Surely fellas are big and smelly enough to do their own research but shur fire away ad ill try and help anyway.
Just FYI, a few fellas got a bit embarrassed and put out when this was brought up a while back,
We even had some eejit telling us he went to Westport or some hole like that for a “stag”, clearly he was away on his own for the weekend from the Mrs and spent the weekend gambling where no one knew him and ringing numbers from the escort Ireland website in the evening when he was stotious….

I used to be a regular in the Amsterdam ArenA when I lived in the city but I’ll never set foot in Holland again after the disgrace that was perpetrated on my fellow Celtic supporters there tonight.
I believe @Fran goes to a lot of European matches too.
On the plane (not international business travel) at the moment to Amsterdam. Going to the Amsterdam ArenA on Saturday night to see Ajax and Herecles. All advise will be gladly received.
@Tabby, Munich is a great spot for a stag, great for boozing with all the beer houses etc. there’s also a big super club called Kultfabrik or something if you’re into that sort of thing and the usual strip clubs etc.
I’d like to see Dortmund play also but tickets are very hard to get. Dortmund is a fairly low key city also. Very handy to get to though
@Tabby , I was in Munich there recently alright for a weekend, Friday thru Sunday. Went out to a Munich game when they played Augsburg. Tickets can be very hard to get though, and particularly if you are wanting a big group to go out together. I got mine through German ebay for about €30 over face value delivered to Ireland so had them before we went out. But there were a few tickets on sale out at the ground at the bottom of the S Bahn ramp to the stadium. these were closer to face value than what I had, but its the risk in taking of going out there with nothing or ensuring you have the tickets. you’d probably only get sets of tickets in pairs. worth going to tho, great atmosphere at the ground, and a great stadium. class team too. Munich is a great spot for going out too.
Thanks @Fran and @Gman. Will consider Munich have never been before. Do bayern fill and create a good atmosphere at all their home games?
Ya mentioned Dortmund was easy to get to. Who flies there from dublin?
He’s actually havin the main stag in Ireland just a few more of us taking the excuse to get out of Ireland as havent in a couple of years. So wouldn’t be a huge crowd looking for tickets.

absolutely. they sold out all their season tickets before the season started, so always will have near capacity at their home games. they have a terrace section behind the goal for the Sud Curve Ultras, and they create a great atmosphere.
@Fran, the Amsterdam ArenA is a little out of the city centre but I used to get the train from Amsterdam Central out to the stadium. The journey’s about 15 minutes and the relevant stop (Bijlmer) is right next to the stadium - down an escalator and you’re in the stadium concourse. There’s also a tram option but I never really used that. The area where the stadium is built was originally an industrial park type place so there’s not a lot of pre-match entertainment options though I understand a couple of hotels have been built in the area since I was a regular. We used to leave it relatively late to catch the train and then we’d have a pint or two in one of the bars on the stadium concourse. Tickets won’t be a problem - there may be some shite online about needing some kind of member card or something but there’ll be a couple of ticket booths open and you can buy on the day.

Bayern tickets might be tricky enough too I’d have thought.

But don’t go there.
When did you live in Amsterdam, pal? I lived there for 5 months in 2003. I actually lived in the Bijlmer for 3 weeks:eek: Me and my chums were kind of like celebrities for the locals as we were the only whities in the area.
Krakow booked for 14-16 March. €129 on Ryanair.
Giddyup.
Any suggestions for eating, drinking, sleeping and fucking will be gratefully received.
I suggest you do all 4, mate. You’ve been quiet lately-all is well I hope.
Oh everyone knows now. It’s good for me. As she’s in such a senior position, I’m practically bulletproof, even though I’m almost the lowest of the low.
That would be marvelous. I’ve plenty of Polish friends who know about Krakow, but unfortunately they’re all female so they’re fairly useless in this situation.
