Athlone? Ye could drink in Seans bar the oldest bar in Ireland. Serious pint of Guinness. Cheap destination as well.

Welsh welch at that

Cardiff is a fair spin from the ferry mate, and it’s a kip.
Swansea is slightly less of a kip but i wouldn’t be rushing to either.
Go with the tried and tested @Bandage, don’t bother being cute about it.

Exactly.

Dublin to Limerick is handy by car or train.

train from fishguard to cardiff…arrive nicely steamed in cardiff circa 3pm after 9am sailing, sleep it off until 6 out again…

Can you hire stab vests?

Be no good to you when you’re shot.

Dungarvan is grand .

Heading to Brighton on a stag next month, supposed to be a great spot, only 30 mins in the train from Gatwick so very handy, will report back

Sounds like awful hassle, asking fellas to get on a plane and then a train journey around the South of England then for a night drinking beer.

Depends on what you consider hassle, I’d consider driving to Westport, Sligo, Dingle etc. to be more hassle.

Don’t get me wrong, my ideal scenario is a location within an hour of home
