You see the English stag lads on it bored out of their head after being mugged off by Paddy

Peddle you English cunts. Sooner youā€™re finished the sooner you can have a drink.

Ulster folk park wasnā€™t too far away

FFS thatā€™s crazy price for the monk, lot cheaper here

About 30e a kilo is standard

I think weā€™ve forgotten the face of our father.

Would your father have ate much Monkfish? :joy:

Mate and spuds. Latterly he would have and heā€™s gone full gastro these days.
I donā€™t think monkfish existed when we were kids, and four euro coffees certainly didnā€™t.

Exactly my point mate, hipster fish so they charge hipster prices, a tax on the aspiring classes. They wouldnā€™t have put Monkfish in a fish finger when you were a pup

Cod is the nicest fish of any.

You canā€™t even trust itā€™s Cod you are getting these days

Is it all a bit of a Cod?

Itā€™s a pure cod, well it isnā€™t, which is the problem

Eel do that

It did exist. It was a prawn substitute in hooky restaurants and it was used in scampi. Otherwise when fisherman caught it they fucked it over the side because it wasnā€™t worth the trouble of landing it.

ā‚¬35 per kg in a bog standard Supervalu.

I occassionally get Monk Tails (with the bone) from the fishmonger at the local market for around ā‚¬16 per kg.

Thatā€™s gas.
It is a lovely bit of fish.
