It did exist. It was a prawn substitute in hooky restaurants and it was used in scampi. Otherwise when fisherman caught it they fucked it over the side because it wasnāt worth the trouble of landing it.

I occassionally get Monk Tails (with the bone) from the fishmonger at the local market for around ā¬16 per kg.
Thatās gas.
It is a lovely bit of fish.
