Is there anything to do in Mitchelstown lads?
Caves?
Take a short detour to Glen of Aherlow.
The āGlen of Aherlow Driveā itself is very underwhelming, unless you actually traverse the Galtees.
Ballard Waterfall near the town.
Thatās a nice one.
Eat cheese
Drive to Kilmallock. Head out towards Ballylanders, turn left up the hill into Kilfinane and then descend through Godās country to the balbec.
Locke is a decent sort, but I dont believe heās the self proclaimed forum superdad.
Yeah the best way to appreciate it is to walk some of it. We would usually take a left in Bansha or could go on further into Tipp town. Aherlow house is a fine place to stop off for lunch as well. Big outdoor terrace with nice views although probably not as appetising on a day like today.
Iām as far from a superdad as you can get. Super sperm maybe.
Fermanagh is the only county in Ireland Iāve never been in.
Itās a nice county, rolling hills and good land. Enniskillen is a lovely market town.
unless you actually traverse the Galtees.
Iāve a hardy 5 year old, how far would she get?
Hardy Kinvara 5 yo accustomed to waving sticks at bullocks, chasing suck calves and reared mainly outdoors would be well fit for a 5 mile heavy terrain hike. Her father, on the other hand, may struggle.
