Suicide

someone down this way had a failed attempt a couple of years back. The rescue chopper was going around here for ages in the night time with the spotlight on, just over and back for about 2 or 3 hours. Turned out he had jumped off a cliff but survived it and injured himself, so he called the rescue services but they couldnt find him for ages.

Nimby would have loved it. Simpler times.

Iā€™d say that is the complete opposite of a true story and I should know.

There was a fella down our way who tried and failed a number of times, from drinking weed killer, to crashing his car, to jumping off a building which broke his legs etc - he eventually became known as Jackass

A lad from the neighbourhood goneā€¦ His best mate also lost his brother to suicide 3/4 years agoā€¦poor fucker.

Not good mate.

There were 2 female victims of suicide within a week of each other in Galway back in early Feb.

Was it always this bad???

Assuming itā€™s the same one I heard about this morning. Desperate sad case. Their father only died a few months ago as well.

Yeah - I havenā€™t heard the ins and outs, didnā€™t ask reallyā€¦ We would have mixed in the same circles since early teens and played ball or drank on and off over the yearsā€¦ a very decent sortā€¦ did someone in work know him or the family?

No idea mate. Would have known one of the female victims through hurling circles, smart lady who appeared to be well liked in the area, poor woman had 4 kids so clearly she was in a bad place.

Send me a PM/text

Fucking hell.

Shocking if true.

I was just going to ask, is it true?

Ditto

No idea to be honest. Didnā€™t hear much about this until this belter appeared in my timeline.

If you kill yourself over your farm being repossessed it says enough for me.
