Summer Transfer Window 2009

Hannibal and Art Foley are in the classic league but not the head to head league. Would either of ye two fooks like to enter the head to head league (also known as the Premier League)?

I could have sworn i gave the code out to ClarkeyCat and Tinnion also but neither has of yet registeredā€¦

Whatā€™s the story with this Delph lad? Where does he play? How good is he?

I see Pavel Pogrebnyak has joined Stuttgart - he scored a raft of goals for Zenit on their way to UEFA Cup victory in 2008 but was suspended for the final. Theyā€™ve paid 10m odd and turned to him after Huntelaar decided against a move to them. Hleb has also gone back there on loan for the season.

He is a creative central midfielder still very young, MON is paying over the odds for potential I`d say.

Delph is young but is fine and strong, has a lovely left foot on him and will be a very good player if handled rightā€¦Normally plays centre midfield or on the wide on the left but not a conventional wide player

Any word on which EPL side Jermaine Beckford will choose to sign for? Iā€™d say heā€™ll choose Arsenal myselfā€¦

Stuttgart are assembling a decent team there.

In other Bundesliga news Rozenhal joined Hamburg from Lazio. And thatā€™s about it for players Iā€™ve heard of other than those mentioned already and Martins joining Wolfsburg.

See Mainz sacked their manager today for losing a friendly at the weekend.

thought the german cup started at the weekend? rock67 can you confirm?

Could have been that so - they lost to some 4th division outfit. I assumed it was therefore a friendly but we all know itā€™s silly to assume.

Chelsea have announced that Joe Cole is not for sale tonight too.

read on another forum they start the cup early in germany & its always lower league teams & amateur teams vs the bundesliga teams with the diddy teams having home advantage

rocko can confirm

Jay O Shea gone from Galway Utd to Birmingham, after Middlesboro failed to agree terms. Heā€™s better off in Brum though Iā€™d say. A serious talent that lad. Galway Utd probably fooked now without him.

Confirmed. Still a harsh sacking.

Without even seeing him play Id say its well over the odds but at least we are gambling on potential. Rather that that throwing away good money on the likes of Emile Heskey and even Downing.

Dont think Villa have won a game that Heskey has started.

Fixed that for you KIB.

Youā€™ve obviously never heard of the Peace Cup.

Sebastien Bassong is on the verge of joining Tottenham after passing a medical. The Newcastle star will end Spurs boss Harry Redknappā€™s desperate search for a defender after the two clubs agreed a 8million fee for Frenchman.

AC Milan have agreed a deal with Real Madrid to make Dutch striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar their first major signing of the close season.

Leroy Lita gone to Middlesboro

Hull have signed Jozy Altidore - heā€™s raw but talented. Surprised Villarreal didnā€™t give him more time there.

Interesting one. Saw some clips of him for Villareal and I know he scored a hat-trick for the US recently. Could go either way but I could imagine him doing well in the EPL. Heā€™s a shrewd operator that Phil Brown chap.
