Summer Transfer Window 2013

They’d have to offer more cash if they were trying to include Bendtnar as part of the deal.

It was only a token bid. Arsenal in no way want Suarez.

Looks like this deal will be completed today. A midfield of Gundogan, Mkhitaryan and Reus with Sahin waiting in the wings would be beautiful. Hope they move on from the need to play a Bender or Kehl in there regularly.

Wenger has to be shit stirring here or else just doing Suarez’s agent a favour, trying to drum up business.

Kone signed for Everton today for a reported 5million

David Villa has joined Atletico Madrid for 5m Euro. Bargain. Barca are retaining 50% of future transfer fees but that’s not likely to be particularly relevant.

Talk of Gomez to Fiorentina.

That is an unbelievable bit of business from Atletico-€5m is a steal for Villa.

Done deal apparently, I can see Gomez being a massive success - just a shame Fiorentina are likely to lose Jovetic and Ljajic. I hope both stay in Serie A.

What age is he? 31? Still a few more good years in him.

Barca looking for a percentage of future transfer fees is utterly bizarre.

I think Atletico have overpaid for David Villa when you consider the fee is only half what Crystal Palace paid for that chap Dwight Gayle from Peterboro’.

Was Carroll 35 million pounds or euros. Either way 7 or 8 villas for one Carroll is about right.

One Kone= one David Villa :o

Benteke has handed in a transfer request at Aston Villa.

Who will be after him now? Arsenal? Liverpool? Tottenham? I saw Athletico Madrid linked to him before but that may have changed since they bought David Villa.

Just read that.

West Ham supposedly in for Downing.

Liverpool also supposedly have had very constructive talks with the king’s people.

Alcaraz has signed a two year deal for Everton signing on a free.decent back up for the cb’s.wigan went down hill last season when he was out…

I see Suarez has come out again saying he wants out of Liverpool for a champions league team.hard to blame him but the way Liverpool backed him since he came there must feel like a kick in the balls

It’s being reported that Callejon will join Napoli for €10m.[/quote]

Callejon is in Napoli for a medical. Some interesting moves at Napoli this summer, it will be interesting to see what way they will play under Benitez - looking at his signings I would say it’s likely he will opt for a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1. He has brought in Mertens and now Callejon who are wide attackers as well as already having Insigne. I think it could take some adapting for them defensively as they have no natural full backs as Zuniga, Armero, Maggio and Mesto are all wing backs and you can even see how more effective Maggio is when he is deployed as a wing back form viewing the Confederations Cup.

Damiao and Dzeko are the two names being touted as Cavani’s replacement.

For me as a Liverpool fan it is a kick in the balls. All the trouble he has had in England he brought on himself and now this carry on. We would be better off selling but only for the right price. Hopefully some Russian outfit come in and offer 60 million for him. Serve the fucker right to freeze his balls off in Russia.

Everton sign keeper Joel Robles from atletico Madrid on a 5 year contract…

3 signings in two days…I expect baines or Fellini or both to be sold shortly!!

Could it be some sort of 3-4-3? Though usually you don’t want 2 very wide players in your middle 4 in that formation. Definitely a tendency towards wide attackers alright, so it may just be that he’s going to go with attacking full backs and rely on his centre backs to hold on their own.
