I think Remy is a decent enough player actually. I was impressed with him at QPR last season. Any time I saw him with Marseille before that I thought him a decent player. Could be a good deal for Newcastle.

He was far too good to QPR and should be a good signing for Newcastle alright. No idea why he left Marseille though. Well I presume money was a factor but could he really not have done better than QPR or was it that QPR paid him an obscene amount? It’s not like he was some under the radar promising talent.

The 70k a week wages from QPR probably helped sway him, and he knew if they got relegated he’d get another move pretty quickly.

He had apparently pretty much agreed to go to Newcastle when QPR came in and doubled the wages on offer. You’d imagine living in London over Newcastle was probably a factor too.

Ah does anyone seriously believe that Utd would be interested in Osman? People really need to try harder.

I am disappointed that Utd have shown no interest in Luis Gustavo. Would be a very good addition to the squad.
