Just completely lost his motivation and once Cabaye left his complete inability to pass the ball forward became more apparent. Actually did well towards the back end of last season
€25m and a possible €5m in add ons is the repoted fee for Milik.
Apparently he is not Higuian’s direct replacement as Napoli are hoping to sign Icardi off Inter.
Van Persie to Rangers?
Once an Orangeman always an Orangeman (who is married to a Muslim).

Kloppo really has cleaned house. Left back still a problem… If he was able to get a top centre half I’d be relatively happy.
Flanagan is being sent on loan to Burnley as well.
Centre midfield is still a problem. And hasn’t been addressed.
Agreed… Can will be the main man there and he obviously feels Hendo and Milner are enough…the lad Grujic plays midfield also.
I think Henderson can do a job there and Can could be a decent player.
Left back is a huge problem area and as well as centre back that should be the priority.
I never understand this idea of strengthening left back and leaving a gaping hole on centre midfield.
Centre mid is one of the most important positions on the pitch. Left back is not.
Grujic is an interesting one and could prove to be a gem of a purchase but retaining Millner, Can and especially Henderson in there does not give much hope of an improvement from last year in what was already identified as an area requiring big improvement.
I’m expecting a big year from Can this year… He really started to grow under Klopp last season and the experience away at his first major international finals will drive him on… He has a great engine.
I’m not a Liverpool fan so may not pay as much attention as others but i watch a lot of their matches and premier league football in general.
What’s up with that comment about Henderson? Wasn’t he one of Liverpools best players a couple of seasons ago and did well when he was fit last year. I think he’s a very good player and Liverpool have been a better team when he plays.
your comment in the second line is true to an extent but every position is very important, only as strong as the weakest link etc, Moreno has caused all sorts of problems.
I don’t rate Henderson meself but he was carrying an injury all last year so hopefully performances are better…Milner is fine in a free role but I don’t like him in CM as he wants to be everywhere on the pitch.
He did well in a certain context. Gerrard was there and Suarez to a lesser extent. Now is the time for him as a captain to step up but he simply isn’t able to in my view.
Centre mid is a vital position. At a risk of sounding like a Johnny Giles mouthpiece the importance of a centre midfielder demanding and getting on the ball is massive. What it does is it stops the balls being needlessly given away by centre backs as they attempt to play balls long. It is important from both an attacking and a defensive point of view. If that is gotten right then less ball goes the way of the left back.
Milner could play at left back and probably be very good at it.
Could be the best option in the short term. Moreno is hopeless.
Midfielders who demand the ball off centre backs are rare and out of Liverpool’s league probably.
One of the best proponents of it in the last 10 years is available at 31 years of age. Completely out of form though and plays for Man Utd.
Henderson is a headless chicken. Runs around a lot, but lacks any creativity and isn’t particularly skillful. He’s also liable to do something stupid every couple of games. He’s a poor replacement for Gerrard.
Ticks all the boxes for an England international.
