Is he the GOAT
In my lifetime I can think of Reggie White and Strahan as the only contenders, Strahan a clear third actually

Kenny Pickett traded to the Eagles.

Justin Fields still friendless and hard to see a landing spot.

Jimmy G to the Rams

This seems very cheap

After essentially spending two first rounders to get him. Da Bears are just one of those organisations. Fields will feel he has a chance definitely longer term of beating washed up Russ out of the job. Not sure what Kenny Pickett thinking was, he won’t start for the eagles. Hes not good enough to cover a hurts injury.

Fields isnt actually that bad. Cant change his read and probably never a playoff QB but made a few nice throws last season, better than Pickett anyway. Startable. Improving. Worth a 3rd minimum. Yes, I am drunk.

What are you at for Paddys?

Married life

He can run and can throw a deep ball. Aside from the he is at best mediocre at every other aspect of QB play. The fact that there is no market for the guy tells you all you need to know.

It’s either one or the other really with QB’s. All arm or legs…

The Arm gets it done but so many starting QB’s are legs reliant.

One lunatic expert on the NFL site was thinking they could the following for him in a trade with the Patriots.

“In my forecast, the Bears send Fields to New England. The Patriots would swap first-round selections with Chicago this year and also give up a 2024 fourth-round pick and a conditional 2025 pick in the deal, similar to the trade between the Packers and Jets for Aaron Rodgers last year”

And when he said swap first round selections - what he actually meant was the patriots would give up their first round selection. So the bears had the 1st and 3rd pick in the draft

Yeah, right.

He is quite the divisive player. I get why he has fan boys as he is gifted athletically and can make defenders look like fools, he also can throw a ball 40+ yards down field and he is young and in a bad situation so I get why people think there is untapped potential.

But just watching him against the Lions the last few years, he runs all over them every time, but as soon as they make him play from behind or stay in the pocket and do the rudimentary stuff a QB has to do like identifying protection, getting the ball out on time, making the correct read and making short and intermediate passes he is pretty woeful - aside from having a very gimmicky offence you aren’t going to be able to fix or his that stuff. The below sums him up as a QB - no pass rush, all the time in the world yet doesn’t ses the giant DE in the backfield.

No team seems to be willing to help develop a QB at all. If the situation is poor and the QB is not stellar and with a strong mentality going in to a team he is goosed. Pittsburgh have made two interesting moves at QB. Both have cost very little.
What the patriots did to Mac Jones was disgraceful. Jones was limited enough anyway imo. As soon as I saw him play he reminded me of a Case Keenum type qb. But giving Matt Patricia the offensive calls for Jones second year was shocking and negligent.
